On January 27, Charge d'Affaires a.i. of the Chinese Embassy to Libya Liu Jian hosted a symposium with the Chinese enterprises operating in Libya and held the embassy-organized“Embracing the Chinese New Year”event in Tripoli. More than 20 representatives of Chinese enterprises attended the event.

Charge d'Affaires a.i. Liu Jian briefly introduced the political, security and economic situation in Libya and the latest achievements in China-Libya relations, and learned about the business operations and concerns of Chinese enterprises in Libya. He expressed the hope that all enterprises would firmly uphold bottom-line thinking, strengthen security precautions, enhance production safety, safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of employees, foster close unity and cooperation, thereby actively contributing to advancing the China-Libya strategic partnership.

The representatives of Chinese enterprises expressed their determination to rise to the challenge, forge ahead with determination, and continuously deepen and solidify practical cooperation between the two countries.

Following the symposium, Chargé d’Affaires Liu Jian distributed “Embracing the Chinese New Year” gift packages to representatives and extended Chinese New Year greetings.
