On November 16, Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Chinese Embassy to Libya Liu Jian met with Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in the Government of National Unity of Libya Al-Taher Al-Baour in Tripoli.

Chargé d'Affaires a.i. Liu Jian outlined the key messages of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. He stated that China is willing to take the reopening of the embassy as an opportunity to deepen practical cooperation between the two countries, enhance coordination and collaboration, and advance the bilateral strategic partnership toward new achievements.

Minister Al-Taher Al-Baour extended congratulations to China on the successful convening of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. He expressed Libya’s warm welcome for the resumption of operations at the Chinese Embassy and looked forward to the return of Chinese enterprises to Libya, which would promote deeper and more substantive cooperation across various fields and bring tangible benefits to the peoples of both countries.
