On October 14, Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Chinese Embassy to Libya Liu Jian met with Minister of Economy and Trade in the Government of National Unity of Libya Muhammad Al-Hawaij in Tripoli.

Chargé d'Affaires a.i. Liu Jian emphasized that China and Libya have time-honored friendship, and China attaches great importance to the development of the strategic partnership between the two countries. China is willing to explore new prospects with Libya for cooperation in various fields, including economy and trade, to continuously elevate bilateral relations to new heights.

Minister Muhammad Al-Hawaij stated that Libya and China share a traditional friendship and there is significant potential for cooperation between the two countries. Libya regards China as an important partner and welcomes Chinese enterprises to invest and operate in Libya, thereby enriching the practical cooperation between the two countries and bringing tangible benefits to the people of both sides.
