On September 11, Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Chinese Embassy to Libya Liu Jian met with Acting Director General of the Libyan Customs Authority Major General Musa Ali Mohammed in Tripoli.

Chargé d'Affaires a.i. Liu Jian stated that China and Libya share traditional friendship and close economic and trade ties. China is willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation between the customs authorities of both countries, promote trade facilitation, continuously consolidate the strategic partnership between the two countries, elevate the level of bilateral cooperation, and bring benefits to the people of both countries.

Major General Musa Ali Mohammed expressed that Libya regards China as an important partner and is willing to enhance cooperation in customs-related professional fields such as combating smuggling, personnel training, and experience exchange to safeguard and promote economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.
