On September 6, 2025, the Chinese Embassy to Libya held a symposium in Tripoli to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Chinese Embassy to Libya Liu Jian and representatives of major  Chinese institutions in Libya attended the symposium.

Chargé d'Affaires a.i. Liu Jian and representatives jointly studied the important speech delivered by General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and President Xi Jinping at the commemorative meeting, reviewed the arduous course of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the pivotal role played by the CPC, emphasized the imperative to firmly defend the outcomes of victory in the Second World War and safeguard national unity, and expressed the hope that everyone would draw strength from the great spirit of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, work diligently and forge ahead with resolve, actively promote China-Libya friendly cooperation, and continuously contribute to the noble cause of building a strong nation and realizing national rejuvenation.

Participants all expressed that they would remember history, carry forward the great spirit of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, firmly support national reunification, actively promote the development of China-Libya relations, and work hard for the development and prosperity of the motherland.
