On June 27, Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Chinese Embassy to Libya Liu Jian met with Assistant-Secretary-General of the United Nations Daniela Kroslak in Tunis.  

Chargé d'Affaires a.i. Liu Jian outlined China’s principled position on the Libyan issue, and expressed appreciation for the UN’s active efforts in promoting peace and stability in Libya. He also emphasized China’s commitment to continue playing a positive and constructive role in advancing a political solution to the Libyan issue.  

Assistant-Secretary-General Daniela Kroslak provided an overview of the progress made and future plans of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL). She emphasized the importance of enhancing communication and coordination with China on the Libyan issue, aiming to promote the resumption of Libya’s political process as soon as possible and facilitate  early restoration of stability and development in Libya.
