On May 8, Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Chinese Embassy to Libya Liu Jian, met with Minister of Economy and Trade in the Government of National Unity of Libya Muhammad Al-Hawaij in Tripoli.

Chargé d'Affaires a.i. Liu Jian stated that China places significant importance on the development of bilateral relations and is committed to working with Libya to consolidate and expand practical cooperation in various fields such as economy, trade and investment, thereby deepening and solidifying the strategic partnership between the two countries.

Minister Muhammad Al-Hawaij highlighted that Libya and China have traditional friendship with broad prospects for cooperation between the two countries. He welcomes Chinese enterprises to invest in Libya and is willing to provide necessary support and facilitation to achieve mutual benefits and win-win outcomes.
