On January 21, Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Chinese Embassy to Libya Liu Jian met with Minister of Industry and Minerals in the Government of National Unity of Libya Ahmed Abu Heisa in Tripoli.

Chargé d'Affaires a.i. Liu Jian stated that China and Libya enjoy long-standing friendly relations with great potential for cooperation across various fields. He expressed China’s willingness to strengthen collaboration with Libya in industries, mining, and other sectors to further consolidate and deepen the strategic partnership between the two countries.

Minister Abu Heisa noted that Libya is endowed with abundant energy and mineral resources and possesses a strategic geographical location, offering broad prospects for bilateral cooperation in industrial and mining sectors. He welcomed Chinese enterprises to invest in Libya to achieve mutual benefits and win-win outcomes.
